I’m the girl the guys like to hang out with but never date. I’m the girl who doesn’t take long to prepare for anything, who doesn’t mind waiting for you and who you can talk to about anything and everything but I’m always chucked into the guy zone. I’m the girl who barely puts any make up on but you still go for the girl whose face had been dramatically transformed by heaps of make up. I’m the girl who has some meat on her bones but you end up going for the girl who’s a size zero or even double zero. I’m the girl you can be a total caveman with and I wouldn’t mind if you burp or fart but I’m usually just THAT friend. I’m the girl who gets good grades and has big dreams but you’d rather go for the bad girl. I’m the independent girl with big dreams but you’d rather go for the one who needs you. I’m the girl who doesn’t mind splitting the bill when we go out but you go for the girl who makes you pay for everything. I’m the girl who doesn’t demand to monopolize your time or energy but you go for the girl who complains that you never spend enough time with her.

Maybe it’s my fault I’m very understanding and nice. From the way I see it, it’s refreshing to be nice because a lot of people aren’t. Maybe it’s my fault I’m one of the guys but I like it when people are themselves with me. Maybe it’s my fault I put them in the friendzone first but isn’t that the way things are supposed to be? The guy’s supposed to man up and pursue the girl if he really wants to be with her. The guy’s supposed to show that he’s not satisfied with being just friends. I guess I’m living in the past and since sex is so easy these days, true love is hard to find. I’m fine with how things are but maybe, just maybe someone out there would want me bad enough to change that. Until then, I’m still THAT girl.

I’m not the biggest Anne Hathaway fan. I was one of those kids whose childhoods were ruined when she took her top off in Brokeback Mountain. In my head, she will always be Mia Thermopolis, princess turned queen on Genovia. I’m a kid at heat. What can I say?

I have to give her kudos for being vocal about her support for the LGBT community. I’m not gay nor bi too but I’m a firm believer that everyone should be given the right to marry, regardless of gender preference. I know this seems contradictory to the teachings of the church. Well, even my own Christian church is firm in its stand against gay marriage but I don’t agree with their stand regarding this issue.

There are people like Kim Kardashian and Chris Humphries who clearly make marriage seem like a big joke or arguably, a publicity stunt and there are couples like Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka who may be gay but they’re a better example of how a married couple should be like than Kim and Chris. They may prefer people of the same gender but they’re truly in love with each other and I think we should just let them be.  

The bible tells us to love one another, right? Hate isn’t holy.

So last night, I watched MIB3 with my favorite French friend, Guillaume. Well, he’s my only French friend (I think) but that’s besides the point. I wanted to watch Dark Shadows because I’m in love with Johnny Depp but sadly, we were too late. </3

The movie had some funny moments, yes, but for me, honestly, it didn’t really measure up to the previous Men in Black movies. I got thrown off by Ms. O because I’m not really familiar with her. Nicole Scherzinger ( what a sexy lady!) had about 5 minutes of screen time which was disappointing.

Will Smith is ever the comedian and he basically pulled everything together. It’s a nice movie but I wish there was more. I guess I’d rather a more exciting plot. It’s not a total disappointment but given the scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the highest,  I’d give it a 6. After watching movies like The Hunger Games and The Avengers, MIB3 came short for me.
